life is good. Last night me and a few friends went to the whitechapel show. all in all it was an amazing show but the main band i wanted to see never showed up due to their van breaking down half way here. meanwhile I've been sitting down more to write music and such for myself and the band. weird dreams have started taking place again. not sure what causes them but i hate them. they just taunt me on how shitty this life is when i wake up. i really wish there is some way we can connect the two and be able to live dream lives as well as lives awake. I need some oil and canvas. lately I've had the urge to paint things. things i wouldn't normally think about painting but things that my mind desperately wants to get out.

  1. In theory, dreams are random brain impulses shooting recent memories and thoughts at you while your sleep in any order..sometimes they make sense..sometimes they dont. When we sleep we go through 5 sleep stages with our brain waves slowing down with each level except the last where it reverts to its state in the first level. The 1st is a light sleep( easy wakeable), 2nd is a slightly deeper sleep, the 3rd and 4th are the deepest sleep. In these two stages of sleep we experience Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, where our heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature rises. Our bran activity equals to that when we are awake but we become paralized in this stage because our bodies produce certain amino acids to shut off neuromuscular activity. This paralysis is nature's way of saying don't act out your dreams!!!!! And I'm sure you can guess by now whats missing with people who sleep walk.
